The Committee for a Civil Action for Deprivation of Constitutional Rights

In order for police officers and law enforcement agencies to build public trust, there must be accountability.

ABOUT US

The Committee for a Civil Action for Deprivation of Constitutional Rights is composed of grassroots community organizations dedicated to restoring the principle of "equal protection and equivalent privileges under the law."  We are led by the family and friends of victims of police violence in Ohio.

Just as We The People are held accountable for our actions, Ohio's government officials and civil servants must not be given a free pass when they deprive a citizen of their constitutional rights. Eliminating the use of Qualified Immunity as a defense in Ohio's civil courts is absolutely necessary to ensure that no one is above the law.

Help to end this legal corruption. Join the movement to end Qualified Immunity!

In Their Words

"[Qualified Immunity] tells officers that they can shoot first and think later, and it tells the public that palpably unreasonable conduct will go unpunished."

Supreme Court Justice

Sonia Sotomayor
